Spring Rain has been abnormal high and cold . The Lake Rose 3x’s faster then 2025 . It took 5 days to rise 24 inches. The Control of the lake level is challenging at the end of April and May due to many factors . Constant rain, heavy spring flow and leafless Trees – { see explanation below }

The Automated Gate is 48″ wide and has Two Blades , a lower that is stationary and a upper that is automated .The water passes over the top as the Upper Blade is lowered .
There is also Two Side Gates (24″) that are Stationary and allow a calculated amount of water to pass over the tops . These allow about 3″ of normal flow always over the Top .
Operation/settings = The recommendations by the manufacturer suggested that the settings of the movement of the Upper Blade be tuned in so that it minimizes the constant movement to prolong the life of the gate , that requires a Time study of the changing Variables of water flow. The amount of Water flowing over the Upper blade can be controlled by a setting then when the lake reaches a overage it drops the upper blade even lower to allow even more water .
If the upper blade struggles to keep a even lake level then the sides can be tuned and adjusted for the spring setting . During the months of July and August the upper gate is set to stop any flow over the upper blade because the spring just about stop , Only heavy summer rain usually triggers a overflow condition to maintain Lake level .

Fully Automatic Maintained Water level is held within a inch of where it is set to.

During the Spring Months of May and June the Springs produce a Overflow of 3-5 inches that constantly flow over the Blade. As the Summer continues into August the Spring slow down and the Constant flow changes to a inch or two over the Blade.

Water Temperature becomes air/water as Probe is exposed .
I highlighted some of the data for highest water Temperature and lake level readings.
Cameras are placed in and around the Spillway House for Security and Monitoring which is stored and can be Viewed from a phone to see the Gate , the Intake and the North End of the Lake.
